finally got my new USO that I won a certificate for. Haven't mounted it yet, but thought i'd take a pic or two next to my older USO and show some interesting features.

both are SN3 TPAL. One is 3.2-17x44 and the other is 5-25x58

first thing to notice is it's really long! There's a 2" sunshade on the big one, and a 2" ARD on the smaller one.

The smaller one is typical right hand, with windage/illum on the right and parallax on the left. For the new one, i asked for illum/windage on the left (and capped so it can't get bumped) and parallax on the right, since i am left handed.

The second picture shows the slightly taller new EREK, with the LARGE FONT option for us old people, and also the 11 mil per turn knob instead of the 9 mil per turn knob common on the older ones.

generally, i must say, the clicks are very nice and crisp and much better, and the glass is stellar. The scope seems unbelievably sturdy. heck, the screw-in aluminum lens covers probably took more machine time than most scopes.

I'll try to take a pic of the bubble level inside after i get it mounted. it's nifty, but could use less bubble and more juice. the pushbutton illum rocks!

i'm pretty happy
