The SA pistol versions are heavy, clunky, monsters--if having some "cool" factor to look at. Shooting, maybe not so much.
Having run room clearance training with a FA (where you want that weight) with both folding and wooden stocks--the fixed stock was my preference, it "felt" better as you got a distinct sense of the "where" it was while you carried it. And, it shouldered better for those times when you wanted to take aimed shots (if nowhere near as well as an MP-5 with USN stock).
There was an outfit in Houston that refurbed a bunch of the UZIs and was offering them in .22lr, 9mm. and .45acp in various combinations in the late 90s, which tempted me for a while. But pretty much it was down to having a 16" barrel to have a stock or a 9# pistol without one. Neither much floated my boat.
But, that's my 2¢, others will differ.
