The media is just filling space and we're just gossiping about it.

Trust the media to screw up anything regarding guns.

They showed a picture of a Sig when it was a Glock that was used.

I have heard 22 millimeter handgun several times now.

They are the same people who showed video footage of fully automatic guns when discussing AR15s.

They cannot be trusted because of both ignorance and bias.

Why does this matter?

Scenario #1
Dude buys two guns, legally. He has no violent background. He is a legal owner of two handguns. He uses those handguns to murder 32 people.

Scenario #2
Dude buys two guns illegally, on the corner from a streetgang. He has no violent background. He is the illegal owner of two handguns. He uses those handguns to murder 32 people.

It is being reported that the Glock (or whatever 9mm) was purchased in March. Which means that a waiting period is ineffective even if implemented.

Either way...it seems to me that these scenarios ACTIVELY DEPICT that gun control is ineffective. Now...obviously they will try to spin these facts, but that is where WE become effective, by voicing our opinions to those who will listen (and even some that won't.)

The bottom line is Bad people do Bad things. And the only defense against bad people is armed Good people.

And yet the casual reader glancing this thread title VA Tech Killer Used Sig may simply come away with possible misinformation stated as fact without reading the actual thread.

Just as I heard a reporter say "the shooter used two handguns like the ones in the pictures you are seeing" and thought that that meant that the shooter used guns like the ones in the pictures...:banghead:

Just 5 minutes ago on CNN they showed the guns. He bought it legally and paid with credit card from a local store 3 days ago. It was not a Sig.

It was a Glock 9 MM and a Walther P22
