You don't really provide enough info to make an estimate, but for a standard 1911 unfired from 1967, I would say $1200-1400, but I don't have a Blue Book handy.
Since this "value" question was raised, I was wondering if there is a particular book most dealers tend to go by, and how close those prices tend to be compared to the ones listed in "price guides" like Gun Digest (or similar) put out??
These Colts are begining to see some interest from collectors. You may get $1,200 or more if you are willing to wait for a person who's realy interested in that. If you wanted money quick and went to a gun shop they'd probably only offer around $500 to $800 (if they're really honest maybe more) as they need to mark it up to make money themselves. For maximum price your best bet would be to sell it on Gunbroker.com or some other site where there would be competitive bidding.
If you keep the pistol it will do nothing but appreciate over the years. Colts seem to be climbing in value pretty fast and pristine ones are becoming scarcer all the time.
