I took my wife shooting today and was suprised at how well she did. The Bi pod was to tall so she just put the rifle across my drag bag and shot. the result was a 1.14 inch group at 300 yards. not bad for someone who has only shot about 200 rounds through a .22 and a half dozen rounds through my XCR. I couldn't be happier!

you know what will happen now, do you?
she will declare half of your firearms hers and in a couple of months she will give you a serious run for your money, if not even outshoot you.

we all been there.. :(

Nice! She's pretty hardcore, especially considering snow on the ground. I'm lucky if I can get the better half to get to the range more than 1-2 times a year.

my groups were no better. That's for sure!!!
I think I found out who should do the test shooting while developing loads.

Dont ask her to wear high heels.

If she ever gets pissed you know that she can take you out. I taught my wife to shoot just prior to the preacher man in Selmer TN getting shot in the back by his wife. She was sentenced to 67 days in prison for manslaughter and is now out and has custody of the kids. All the guy did was ask her to wear high heels in the bedroom. Since then I dont even ask to leave the lights on.

I've been Thai boxing for about 10 years but I still watch my step around the wife. She kicks my butt up close and at 300 yards. What am I to do?

A change of hobbies.

I would do my surefire best to see if I could get her interested in nitting or fishing. If no luck there you need to get up with some special forces vets and learn the trick of sleeping with your eyes open.

Funny you should mention nitting. I whant her to make me some mag holders for my ar.

Just get her to make you a holster for your ar. That will keep her busy for a while and also make you the talk of your next trip to the range.

Yea I had the same experience when I took my mother and also my sister out shooting with us. Women are supposed to be much better shots without training because they're hands are often more steady. I just have to train that much harder so that I can compete : P

this should be no surprise. Everyone knows woman have steadier hands and better breathing for long distance shooting. But congrats man. I just recently started my girl witn a P95. Hoping to move her up to rifles someday

If you ever say anything ahhhhhh 'negative' to her, make sure you are at least 310 Yds away... :D :what:

Nice groups with a good rifle, shot by a great wife.... :D

plane ole Remington 700 SPS Varmint .308

The only thing I changed was the stock and it's nothing special. a Bell and Carlson.

that's a good way to lose some guns. don't ask me how i know. but it's great to get the ladies into shooting. and they do seem to have a natural ability. i know i wouldn't want mine po'd at me.

Good for her and you. We need more women in the shooting sports. Don't be surprised though...women's hand eye coordination and fine motor skills can be very good - explained by the hunter / gatherer theory. I'd hypothesize that it's in the better trigger control. My wife has impressed me with decent groups at the pistol range with "our" snubby .38 - the least accurate firearm in the house of course.
