Lobby Day 2022 Preliminary Information
Key aspects:
1. There will be no rally, but VCDL will stream speakers during the day so folks can watch and listen on their phones.
2. In 2022 the governor, lieutenant governor, and House of Delegates majority will be Republican, but the Senate will still be controlled by a Democrat majority. Thus, there will be a focus on lobbying Senators on gun control legislation.
3. Firearms are now legally forbidden both in the capitol building and on capitol grounds. Therefore, participants must not bring guns to the grounds; they must make safe and legal storage plans prior to the day. If riding a VCDL bus to Richmond they must leave all guns at home because there will be no safe storage available on or near the buses.
