Vortex Closeouts

Those are some pretty good deals on the PST Gen IIs, although I wonder why they are on closeout. I haven't heard any rumors about Gen IIIs or anything similar coming out.

The Razor AMGs are a totally different line than the PSTs, being American made and well over twice the price. I'm sure the AMGs aren't replacing the Razor Gen IIs either, as Vortex rolled out some new reticles and a new pricing structure for the Razor Gen IIs at Shot 2019.

I suppose they are probably just clearing out old stock. Either way, those are pretty killer deals on the Razor Gen IIs, $50 better than the best "phone call only" pricing I've been quoted on them, from a place known to give the best deals to boot.

I've gotten used to image quality and features on my AMG, and now have the urge to upgrade the scope on my main AR as well... this could get expensive. I did think that the PST Gen II I got behind (supposedly a big step up from the Gen I) was a nice scope for the money, I'm pretty tempted at that price.

I have a gen I pst and a gen ii razed, but I have looked through a gen ii pst and yes there is a big difference in glass between the geni/gen ii pst’s. The gen ii pst seems to ha e borrowed heavily from the gen ii razor design

I saw this and I am in the market for a nice new scope. I wasn't looking at one with an illuminated reticle. Opinions on this feature? Drawbacks?

For me, it's not a must have but it's a bonus if you can get it. At dusk or dawn, especially on dark targets, it can make it easier to make more precise shots because it makes the reticle easier to see. The main thing you give up, assuming all other things are equal with the scope, is weight since its extra hardware built in.

Perhaps, its the way to busy to actually see anything reticules. The couple I clicked on were horrendous.

Nope, the EBR-2C and the like are popular and useful reticles for the kind of shooting the Razor Gen II is used for.
