I am passing along the following from Macey White of the Middlesex Pistol Hunter's Club. They are in a running battle with the Middlesex County Board of Zoning. The NRA Legal Department is working with the club and the attorney working with them said they need a big turn out from our side. He said the anti-crowd packed the room last time and he had to shout over their boos when he spoke. Below is the message from MPHC:
Dear Middlesex Pistol Hunter's Club members and Friends,
Please plan on attending the Middlesex County Board of Zoning Appeals hearing on Monday evening May 17 in Saluda.
The Middlesex County Zoning Administrator is trying to shut us down. He has issued an order to cease and desist for our use of the practice range and our monthly shooting practices/silhouette shoots.
We are appealing his decision and have the services of the NRA legal department helping us. This meeting is an open forum and you can bet that every anti-gun nut in the county will be there. We need a strong and large showing of support.
The bottom line is:
IF YOU EVER WANT TO SHOOT AT THE MIDDLESEX PISTOL HUNTER'S CLUB AGAIN YOU MUST BE AT THIS MEETING!
I will give you more details as we get them. Expect weekly updates.
The April 17 Shooting Sports Camp is unaffected but the April 24 silhouette shoot is CANCELED.
