Hi there!
I seem to be cursed with guns, because after a bulged barrel SKS I now seem to have a problem with my Vz.26 SMG. I took it out for the first time to shoot last weekend, and it ran fine. Went home after the range session, and while cleaning I noticed what seems to be 2 whitish patches inside the bore.
2 hours before shooting I ran a couple dry patches through the bore and put the gun in a plastic bag and into a gun case (the case is all oily inside, that's the reason for the plastic bag). It sat in the car until I shot it.
My problem is, is that I can't decide whether the whitish patches are the result of rust, that was shot out by shooting, or just some fouling. I don't know if a dry bore can rust in just two hours?
So if anyone could help me out with some advice, I'd greatly appreciate it!
Tom
