When I first started reloading with my whack-a-mole Lee Loader, I picked up a pound of W760 at a gun show because it was cheap. Combined with 50gr Remington PSPs, I started getting pretty decent accuracy out of my 22-250 and I was hooked.
The W760 got shelved in lieu of H380 in the 22-250 as I got a "real" press, and as I started loading more calibers I branched out to other Hodgdon powders, specifically Varget and H4831.
As the price of reloading components has risen, Winchester powders are have not gone up as much as the H-powders; both W760 and W748 are $4-5/lb cheaper than all the Hodgdon powders I currently use.
So....I'm wondering if there are folks out there who use and/or prefer either W748 or W760 powders for their rifles, and why that might be (other than cost).
FWIW, the calibers I reload for are 223, 22-250, 260, 270, & 30-06 with plans to start 204 and 7mmRM.
