Anybody get out for the high buck season here in Washington. I'd like to get some reports if possible. What are ther conditions like, any success, deer sightings, etc. Thanks in advance.
You might want to ask the archery guys the same question. It's dry and has been hot where I hunt. I just spent the weekend out in the woods. I saw more bunnies than deeror elk for that matter which I found odd.
Where were you? I hunt over in the Little Naches area and have not got a chance to get up there yet this year. Was it real dry and crunchy again like the last 3 or 4 years? I swear last year you could not sneak up on a deaf coyote. Every step sounded like you were stepping on a box of Captain Crunch. I'm going to change my tactics around a bit this year for the deer hunt. Find some place to sit and stay put for the day.
I don't hunt the high buck season but for some reason I haven't seen a single buck on the West side of the Cascades and I have been scouting for Blackies for a couple of months now......well.....ummm....going for hikes with the girl and my dog, she doesn't need to know I'm really taking her out on scouting trips
