Everyone says the Mask is the state of the art in rimfire silencers at the moment. That’s probably why I can’t find one in stock anywhere. I can’t decide whether to keep waiting and hope that one shows up somewhere or just go ahead and start the paperwork on a different model. The SilencerCo Sparrow is in stock in a lot of places. It has a good reputation, and it’s been around for a while. I can also find models from Q and from Ruger. If it was your money would you wait on the Mask or buy something that’s currently in stock?

A Mask won’t work well in a Beyer or TacSol shrouded 10/22 barrel, if that makes any difference

IMHO most 22 Suppressors that are 5-6" long and 1" in diameter sound pretty good.
The two caviots I would point out monocore designs have a lot of first round pop and having steel guts makes em easier to clean.
Bottom line there's a lot of very good 22 cans available and I wouldn't hold out.

I sell more DA Masks than all the other rimfire silencers put together....but it ain't state of the art. None are. Its heavier than some.
It is an excellent silencer no doubt...easy to clean, no first round pop, and is built like a tank. I do recommend it over others because its a great value.

Get on a wait list.
If you wait until one shows up on a website as "in stock" you gonna be waiting a while.

It's old technology.....its a monocore and notorious for first round pop on pistols.

I have a Ruger Silent SR........its fine. I didn't buy it because it was the lightest, quietest or easiest to clean but because the seller sold it with a Ruger MkIV for $500 out the door.:D
Look at the Energetic Armament NYX if you want really lightweight.

I would wait.

I can't speak for the Mask.....
But I have had such good luck with the SiCo Sparrow.....................that I have 3...............

Don't but another one of something else. Buy 2 of something else.
My obsolete monocore is now a safe queen.
They are ok on a rifle, but first round pop sucks on a pistol.

How is it on a rifle? I don’t see myself ever using it on a pistol.

The only reason to go with a monocore is for a "one stap" gun with a shorter barrel, using a pinned & welded monocore to get to 16".

They are cheap & easy to produce, and material efficient. That's why they're often lower cost. But they simply will not perform like a proper baffled core. Ever. The only application we have for them is Susurrus RF integral one stamp .22 rifles, an 8" barrel with a 9" monocore. Those sound great, but it's a lot of core, and the barrels are also ported.

Do you have a relationship with any dealers in Kentucky? How do you handle transfers to clients out of state?

Man that ocelot looks really nice

It's definitely a solid little can, performs with other "top tier" models, able to handle 5.7x28 and .22 Hornet, and still pretty light for being all titanium and 17-4 stainless.

Like most of our cans, the aesthetics are pretty vanilla; I've always priorized performance at minimal size & weight, and making cool designs on tubes means starting with a heavier wall thickness that diminishes internal volume and results in greater mass, however little it may be at this size. That stuff also increases machine time, which means higher price point; we're definitely not a "budget brand", but try to stay on the lower end of average cost for "premium" models.

The baffle stack in Ocelot is our interlocking indexing design, makes alignment and installation easy while minimizing the amount of carbon that gets to the tube walls.

I personally have a SilencerCo Sparrow and it's stupid quiet with subsonic 22lr ammo out of my CZ 457 pro varmint bolt action. And dealer cost on a Sparrow is like 230 bucks just FYI. Idk if I'm supposed to tell you that but I just want to let you know if you find one for like some outrageous price at a shop that they are full of it.

The SiCo Sparrow is a monocore. Typically notorious for FRP.
They are cheaper because they are louder.

Sure, a buyer with nothing else to compare to or a first time buyer may love a Sparrow.........but with a better design they will learn that the Sparrow is disappointing compared to a Mask.

I'm just saying that it's literally silent with CCI Quiet 22 and sounds like a pellet rifle with standard subsonic 40gr and 45gr ammo.

I have a Stainless Sparrow. It lives on my M-16 and does a good job. Slightly heavy and a little FRP. But I am not worried about a little FRP. I have a bunch of other rimfire cans (ECCO, TBAC, Jet, Keystone, etc) that I can use if I am worried about it.

I do not think the conversion would be worth it. I bet the cost would be the same as a new can and stamp.
