Wait time for suppressor

I have been waiting since feb 2012. Washington state resident. Has anybody from washington received approval since july 2011

Are you saying your Form 4 was submitted in Feb? When was your check cashed? Form 4 approval times are currently running in the 5.5-6.5 month average range. Have you talked with your dealer?

was about 7 months for me (TN). got 2 suppressor stamps in december

My check for 4 suppressors was cashed October 29. I'm not looking for stamps until April.

Call the ATF.

Say this "I'm calling to check the status of a Form4, the serial number is xxxxxx" the will ask who the item is transferring from and who it's transferring to. Then they will tell you a pending or approved date and then ask them who your examiner is. If its still pending then ask to be transferred to the examiner that has it. They will tell you that wait times are 6-months. Tell them you sent it in 11 months ago.

This is assuming you mailed this yourself with a personal check and saw when it cashed proving your paperwork made it to the ATF back in feb. I you relied on your dealer to mail it, think twice next time.

My check for 4 suppressors was cashed October 29. I'm not looking for stamps until April.

I hope that isn't the case. My check was cashed in early Sept., pending approval as of Sept 18, and I'm hoping for my stamp in Feb.

Sandra Snook is your examiner. I just got one Form 4 kicked back for a technicality, had another go through fine several months earlier. The last one took 6 months.

~5-6 months is the current wait time. A number of people are getting them kicked back by the new examiners (myself included), for things like lacking the word "The" in the title of the FFL or capitalization errors. I kid you not.

i set up a trust and turned in my paper work on june 2012, and got word that my tax stamp cleared this christmas. so pretty much 6 months for me, and that's for Texas; everyone was telling me not to expect it any earlier than 7-8 months. It might have been the trust that expedited the process for me.

Just had 2 in for approval, it took 9 months one was a gun and the other was a suppressor.
