I just bought a box of Win. 45ACP white box 100 pack at the Wal-Mart in Bullhead City, Az. for $32.97 plus tax. A couple of weeks ago in St. Joseph, Mo. the price for the same thing was between $58 and $59 plus tax. I suppose one or the other could have mispriced or there has been a price reduction. Anyone else seen this? $32.97 is barely more than it costs me to reload using jacketed bullets.

$32.97 That is what they go for here in FL, give or take. The only trouble is buying them before the local range owner does.

The only trouble is buying them before the local range owner does.

Is the range owner re-selling the ammo for a higher price at the range?

$32 was the price it was here in Vegas. Only problem is, I haven't seen WWB 45 in almost a year now at any of the Wal-Marts

That's what they're going for here in the heart 'o Texas right now, which is UP from about $29/100.

You can also still get WWB 230-gr JHP .45 for $20/50 if you're dilligent in looking. Wally recently jacked Federal .45 target ammo from $14.50 to $16 a box.

A local range owner here in Michigan, does the same thing. I heard he sells it for a dollar more, but only sells it to you if your shooting in his range! I'd rather shoot outside in the dead of winter, before giving him any more of my money!

The that time I found any WW .45acp 100 rd boxes, they were $29.99, but thats been a while. LM

Around $32 around here when you can find it for the 100 pack. Is the OP sure isn't wasn't the "Winclean" lead free primer ammo that sells for almost twice what the "normal" 230 gr fmj sells for? The local Walmart does have a stock of the Winclean (or whatever they call it) because no-one or at least not very many will pay the price. Haven't seen it in 100 packs, however, just 50 pack.

What I bought was ball. Not sure what it was in Mo.--guess I just figured it was ball. At that price [$58-$59] I didn't look too far.

.40 just beginning to show up and stick for a few days.

Here in E TN no .45 for about a year. I hope whoever has it all stashed chokes on it. :fire:;)

Yes! I can't prove it, if I could I would be on the line with Winchester.

For what? What he is doing is making a profit...nothing illegal there. If you don't like it then don't deal with him, I doubt Winchester would care and would talk around the office about the flake who called in complaining about ammo prices at a range over which they have no control.

Anyway I've seen 45 a few times lately at WM, around $32 IIRC, 6 box limit here anyway.

Actually, that isn't so much doing business as profiteering. He's taking a limited commodity (otherwise commonly available) item and jacking the price up unreasonably.

45 in Wal-Mart is hard to come by unless you go twice a day to several Wal-Marts around the area....who would do that? :neener:

$32.97 100rd WWB's, .40's are still plentiful in WWB and federal, 9mm's are less frequent than the 40's.

Still can't decide between the Dan Wesson CBOB or the EMP 40 because of the ammo dilema. :scrutiny:

$32.97 in N.E. Ohio

no limit at my local wal-mart. a few months ago i just happened to be there when they got ammo in. i walked out with 1500rds of 9mm and 500rds of .45. the sales guy told me that if they get ammo shipments in it's either Weds or Fri.

Pretty cheap

I handload, but this isn't that much more expensive than what I do myself unless I use a lead bullet. The lead bullets are fine for goofing around at the range, but not much else.
