Just finished my first ar build and love it. It has one problem the trigger pin wants to walk or wiggle out every now and then. Can anyone tell me how I might be able to fix this issue. Thanks

Get a bit of blue Loctite and put it in the pin hole before inserting it. Blue Loctite can be broken with normal mechanical pressure. You may need a punch to remove the pin again, but it will still come out no problem.

There are, or use to be, anti-walk pin kits available. The pins were a longer to accept a circlip on each side.

I wonder if different standard pins might have slightly different grooves cut in them to better hold the retaining spring.

uhh, if the pins are actually walking out, it's usually because you have them installed incorrectly.

for standard triggers, the pins have a groove near the end, and the legs of the hammer spring go ON TOP OF and fit into the groove and prevent the pin from moving laterally.

I would NOT put loctite on anything around the trigger group

Double check you have the two FCG pins in the correct holes. The hammer pin has a single groove in the center for the hammer J spring and the trigger pin has two grooves near the ends that the hammer spring legs rest on.

There are anti walk pins for around $10.

KNS anti-rotation pins also stop walking and tighten the FCG.

the hammer pin hole can get out of round if you dry fire with the upper detached. That would cause a pin the walk and the only cure would be to drill and use an oversize pin or new receiver.

Well a buddy and myself did a couple of lower builds together and the out come was issues in both lowers with the pins walking.
What we found out is we put the hammer spring in backwards.
Fixed the springs and have yet to have an issue.

What Taliv said!!! Check the pin to make sure it is in correctly and the legs of the hammer spring are in the grooves. Keep the Loctite away from the trigger group!

THIS!

Sturpin, whose LPK did you use? Pins should not walk and anti walk pins should never be needed. If they are walking, something is wrong.
