greetings,

anybody have any experience with this one?
comments about accuracy, reliability, etc welcome

I really hated Umarex' renditions of the paddles on PK380. They were implemented well on other guns, such as H&K USP, or on actual Walthers for that matter. So, there's nothing wrong with the idea, but on the PK380 I was unable to find a way to release the magazine without weird contortions. Tried both thumb and other side fingers -- nothing worked.

My step-daughter has one and used it recently to qualify for her CCW. I spent some time with her PK380 to check things out. The gun itself seems a bit large for a .380 but the extra size does make for a comfortable pistol to hold and shoot. However there were a couple of things about it that stood out to me. First it doesn't have a slide release lever. You have to rack the slide to either load a fresh mag or else when the mag is empty you have to drop the mag and pull back on the slide to close it. Secondly it does not have a decocker; what it has is a thumb safety located on the slide. If you want to lower the hammer, you have to put the safety on SAFE and slowly lower the hammer while squeezing the trigger. The third feature that could cause some problems is the paddle mag releases which might be difficult for some people to reach. All in all I think it's a decent enough gun but with some design features that might take some shooters a little time to get accustomed to.
