I am looking for historical information on a Walther PP I recently obtained. The serial number is six digits beginning with 108 and followed by a “P”. The other marking is a “N” with the crown above. Photos are posted in General. The safety has a 70-80 degree swing.

That's pre-1940 if I am reading my source right. That is in fantastic shape.
That’s what I was thinking. My relative was a pilot in the Korean War and also WWII. He also had his 1911 and another Walther Luger which his daughter kept. Thanks for your input!!!

The Zella-Mehlis guns were made prior to and during WW2. The lack of Waffenamts would point to it being a commercial or police gun.

Its in great shape. The .32 PP is a good shooter with FMJ. Spare magazines are rare and expensive, though.
Good info. I was lucky enough to have two magazines for it. Thanks for your reply

I was kind of staggered by the asking price on some of those pistols because of one obscure waffen ampt or political issue stamp. Almost as varied as researching Lugers.

Well I guess there were some horrible things going on in Germany that were unfortunately very historic.....maybe some of these events and “players” contribute to the collectibility?????? ‍♀️
