My .32 ACP Walther PP keeps FTFing because the loaded chamber indicator keeps shifting upwards and blocks the slide from closing properly or chambering a round.

I've changed my plinking round from Seller & Bellot FMJ to more rounded profile Fiocchi FMJ, which has improved reliability slightly but still has the same issue occur.

Any thoughts or solutions?

The indicator spring might be broken or someone put the gun together wrong. That slide assembly is a bit tricky to dis- and re- assemble, but I think you might have to take the thing apart and check that the loaded chamber indicator spring is intact and in correctly. The little arm of the spring has to go up (toward the top of the slide when the gun is assembled) so it pushes the indicator down out of the way except when a round is chambered. If that arm is broken off, or out of position, you will get the problem you describe.
