Walther PPQ ?

The one I shot was a fine shooter: very nice trigger, good ergonomics and quite accurate. But, for a variety of reasons, I'll keep on with my Glock Gen4 19.

I've owned on for about 6 months and I can honestly say it's my favorite 9mm. The trigger is the best I have seen on a striker fired pistol and the accuracy is outstanding. The ergonomics are great for my hand. Buy one...I don't think you will be disappointed.

I have a P99AS and loved it enough to also pick up a PPQ; essentially the same gun with a few minor differences.

Neither has a safety, but the P99 does have a decocker; you can still fire it in DA mode, but the extended trigger pull will mitigate against accidental discharges.

The PPQ does NOT have the decocker; it is locked, cocked, and ready to fire.

Ergos are fan-freakin'-tastic for my hand, and both the P99 and PPQ are closest I've come to finding natural "point-shooters" (the XD's are a close second). I can consistently blow the 10-ring out of man-silhouette targets at 10m.

Not every gun is for anyone, so if at all possible, I always recommend "try-before-you-buy." But I doubt that you'd be disappointed.

Aftermarket support has been provided by Smith & Wesson (as Walther's U.S. distributor), but Walther is soon opening their own U.S. support center (yay!).

I don't own one but I've gotten in some range time with one. The magazine release was off-putting at first for me - I hated it. But once I got used to it, it wasn't bad at all. Good shooting gun, and I'm a fan of Walther in general.

Owned one for a while and shot a couple of IDPA matches with it. Ergonomics and trigger were excellent. Only negative for me was the price & availability of extra mags.

The first time I shot a PPQ, it was a range rental. I fired fifty rounds into a 3 inch ragged hole at 15 yards. I promptly went and purchased one.

GREAT trigger! With a distinct reset too! No need to rebuild this pistol with Apex parts or buy Storm Lake barrels either.

The PPQ is accurate and reliable. The only striker fired plastic gun worth buying, IMO of course. :)

The ergonomics and trigger are "best in class". Reliability is among the best, as well. Personally, I think it's a sexy beast.

I'm wearing mine as I type this.

The Walther P99AS and PPQ (which is basically the same pistol with a different trigger group) are, in my opinion and experience, the best striker-fired polymer pistols out there, bar none.

Pp q-9

hello again, I've look all over and I cant fine what/ how long the warrenty is for the PPQ-9 ??? Any one know for sure?

warranty on the PPQ is lifetime.

Walther P99 and PPQ are the most underrated pistol. Comparable to an HK quality-cheaper and better triggers.

I like mine a bunch, but I've suddenly discovered revolvers and it hasn't seen a ton of range time.

Haven't shot one yet, but would like to. I've looked at one at the gun store and found it quite comfortable to hold. The trigger seemed quite nice as well. I'm just not going to buy any pistol that is a first run gun anymore. I'll wait until all the bugs (if any) have been worked out.

I don't have one, just read a lot of posts. Really the only thing that comes up is the somewhat increased muzzle flip compared to other poly offerings. I may have to rent one to compare with my P01.

Lol I like that picture of the PPQ with the magazine and ammo. Loaded backwards a la HK. I take it the HKG photography signature in the corner is meant for the lulz as well.

My buddy has one I have sent about 100 rounds downrange. I almost bought one six months ago when I was on my poly 9 quest.

I like it! Great ergos and accuracy.

Downside are mag cost and the dreaded, "lack of aftermarket support" for holsters and sights, although that should improve this year.

I'm happy with my Caracals but, I have little doubt I could be happy with a couple PPQs as well.

Since the PPQ is a variant of the P99, there's not much on the way of "bugs" left in that design.

To the best of my knowledge, all Walther parts and accessories are available through Walther America/Smith & Wesson, but I can't say for certain, as I haven't needed to avail myself of their services.

I'll wait until all the bugs (if any) have been worked out.

No bugs to work out.

The PPQ is nothing more than a variant of the P99, which has been around for over 15 years, and has been proven to be one of the most durable and reliable semi-autos ever made.

The PPQ trigger variant itself is not even new - what is basically the same pistol has been sold for a number of years in Europe as the P99RAD or P99Q.

I really like my PPQ...a lot. Here are some thoughts on it.

Buy MR Baby Eagle mags. They are the exact same magazine and made by Mec-Gar, but cost $20 less than the ones with Walther marked base plates.

I found the larger back-strap really helps reduce the muzzle flip. It doesn't feel (to me) as nice as the medium one, but I shoot it much better with the large one on.

The trigger is the best out-of-the box poly trigger ever, but accidental double taps are an occasional problem for me.....just food for thought. YMMV.

IMO the Walter PPQ and Walther P99 AS are the finest poly combat pistols available today and a stunning value at the going prices - if you can find one. Very high quality German made and proofed with a factory test target

My PPQ is terrific and always goes with me to the range with one of my SIG P226s.
