Want the best suppressor

MachIV shooter is a great resource and builder so if he can help you that is a good route. I went with the Griffin recce 7. It is a bit heavy but built like a tank. You only get one per tax stamp and they are quite a process to buy and finally receive to you. So if there is a problem or you over pressure the can it is a lot of money and time wasted.

I like Griffins taper mount and their inconel make up. Plus there is no muzzle flash at all which is great for last light shots on game. The Recce 7 has been exactly what I wanted in a suppressor.

YHM makes good cans and most are select fire rated as far as taking one apart to clean it the closed cans are easy to clean in a ultrasonic bath too.

I have found that I don't necessarily need the quietest can especially for semi-auto stuff. I just need something to knock the sound down and take the edge off. I have also found recently that back pressure can make a big difference. I still wear hearing protection normally. Even a small suppressor like a Witt Machine will take the noise from blow your ears out to just a bit too loud.

I have an Omega 300 and it works well. My newest suppressor is an OSS 7.62 QD. I really like it. It may not be as quiet as others, but it sounds good at my ear and the low back pressure is real. Very little gas thrown back in my face compared to other suppressors. That may not matter for a hunting rifle, but for basic AR's/AK's it makes a difference.

Also, in general I like QD attachment options. They allow me to use Rocksett to keep the muzzle device locked in place while still being able to move the suppressor to other guns. If you are not shooting many rounds, that is less of an issue.

Agreed. Their suppressors aren't too expensive and they have a good selection of muzzle devices available. A less expensive way to get started with a QD rifle suppressor and the weight is pretty good.
