Want to find a 556 ar15 upper 16in HBAR barrel mid or full length handguard that i can put a magpul handguard on and a good lower that i can magpul to death cause they are my favorite. any suggestions and also if they give a LEO discount they can move to the front of the line cause it will mainly be for work.

thanks holy is there any difference in the two?

Both produce excellent quality uppers.

BCM is a bigger operation, with many items in stock, but their prices are a little higher.

Spikes has some of the best prices in the business, but due the being a smaller company with a lot of business, you better be willing to wait a long time to get your order.

Sounds like you want a dissipator. Full length sight radius with a carbine barrel. I have a 14.5" M4 with Magpul MOE hand guard and stock but my favorite rifle is my dissipator. I've been kicking around installing some MOE hand guards but I'll leave the A1 stock on because I like the way it shoulders better than the MOE. PSA has a dissipator upper. Combine it with a lower and you will have a neat little carbine.

Yep, I've got a BCM mid length 16.25" upper on my AR. Works great thus far. Mine has a lightweight pencil profile barrel though. On a KISS carbine such as mine, I'm not going for all out accuracy, just a quick handling weapon for range fun and God forbid, total meltdown SHFT. I had a DTI HBAR mid length upper on it previously, but it was too muzzle heavy for my liking.

Speaking of Magpul, I just switched out my standard A2 style pistol grip for a Magpul MOE. Wow, what a difference. I didn't really notice the A2 PG's odd (for me) placement of the single finger groove until I built my retro AR with the early no grove PG. No grooves for me, and simple plastic Mapgul PG just feels right to me.

Here's my middy BCM, still wearing the old A2 PG:
