Want to reload

My house is very rarely free of distractions

Then you need to find a space where you have zero distractions, even if it is in short increments of 15 minutes or similar. Loading in batches is no big deal, as you can visually check which cases have powder and which ones do not

Try something for me. Stop trying to compare presses and just search the lee classic turrent. Go to youtube and watch some videos. I've been handloading for years and 10s of thousands of rounds and I keep going back to my simple Lee. It is your pistol press. It will be your range 323 press as well. When you want to load defense or precision rifle then the rockchucker is the deal. Today I still prefer a more personal experience reloading and prefer not to go the dillions when I only need 200 rounds at a time.

You can visually check in progressive applications too. There is 0 time when I am free if distractions ever. Benefits of small children and working opposite the wife, both working 6 day weeks with different days off. My reloading setup is in the family room because that's the space I have for it and it has worked just fine for thousands of rounds...

The Lee Classic Turret. Bang per buck, nothing else comes close.

Like someone mentioned, go watch the videos, watch other videos too. There are excellent videos for just about any press and tool related to reloading on youtube. Don't necessarily believe everything you see or hear there, there are some bad advisors on there, just like anywhere on the net.

Read the books, get a couple, they all will go step by step through the basics of reloading. The Lyman book has good info on the process, scant data on recipes, the Lee is a fun read too, I prefer it as far as the process and it has loads of data, though the same data can be had from all the powder manufacturers online. You'll triple check it all anyway once you start dropping powder in cases.
