Sorry to the person I quote, I don't want to make fun, but it's just so funny on its own:) I made a thread about what-if people co-operated in NO, but this guy has me beat, hands-down. It's from that site that was linked to with the video of California cops sht-kicking an old lady.

...How's this for an idea:
Say a band of looters is heading your way. Rather than shooting 'em, try inviting them to merge what they have with what you have? Try forming a community and HELPING each other.
Is it such a stretch to imagine that maybe if you extend your hand in friendship that maybe the guns aren't required?"

You know, I think he has a point there. :p

what kind of crap have you been reading?

Those weren't opinions they were the unreasoned ramblings of a mediocre seventh grader.

Thank goodness for this site.

BitRaiser's entire post:

I've hoestly never understood the American fixation with guns.

Why must, at all costs, the American public feel that they have to be armed against their own people and/or government??

It seems to me to be the root of the scociaty of fear which has alowed "the powers that Be" to so easily manipulate and mislead the public.

Why not just put down the firggin guns and start looking at each other as fellow human beings?

How's this for an idea:

The way I see it, the Second Amendment (and things like the inserection act) are part of the problem and in no way can ever be part of the solution. These are manifestations of paranioa that happen to be constitutionally endorsed.

Isn't it time to just GET OVER IT?
Isn't it time to lern how to spel?

Is that worse than the next post by factfinder38? Enjoy:

Sorry people but if you want a faster better stronger reaction to things like this you will have to give up some rights . You can't have your cake and eat it too. :D
I love the big, happy smile after he tells us to give up our rights.

I would really...

like to see that guy do a field test of his theory. Of course to be valid it would have to be repeatable. I'm thinking about 100 iterations of him testing it out in the field with real live looters, him personally of course to ensure his theory wasn't misapplied, should be a good initial step

Yes, there were some really asinine replies to that thread (as with all forums), however sdrumrunner conducted himself very well in that thread, is well versed, and makes a good argument. He needs to signup over here.

From what I can tell, and I admit I didn't look too closely, it seems that site is devoted to people afraid of the impending police state, and other conspiracies...

If they fear an emerging police state how can they justify their anti-2nd thoughts? It doesn't make sense. One person said something like, "The 2nd was written to the citizens could prevent gov't becomeing too powerful. New Orleans proves the gov't is becoming too powerful, so the 2nd amendment has failed, and thus everyone should turn in their rifles."

Either this guy is a 'plant' in that forum, or there are a lot of people SO anti-RKBA that when they have to choose supporting the police-state they fear most, or supporting citizens constitutionally-enshrined RKBA they actually support the police-state.

It's really kind of scary, because I don't see a 3rd option, and both those 2 options are very concerning.
