Warning shot?

I end my participation on this thread with these words. I learned that I should not have made a post based upon an academic view of the law. It mislead some folks. I am sorry for that. So to close my appearance in this thread I say this. When it comes to a warning shots, as I wrote, I would never do so. My one and hopefully only experience in close quarter firearm engagement was in the batt,e for Hue City in Nam. The rule was simple. Raise a gun toward me and I shoot you. Semper Fi.

I wouldn't fire a warning shot in the city.

Now, if the country (or some parts of Alaska where Polar Bears/Brown Bears roam) and I was faced with an agressive bear/cat/critter, yes I would into the ground (dirt).

Warning shots at least in Florida are a no go. I assume it is similar in other states but I don't have time to find 49 other cases of people facing serious time for firing warning shots.
