but after shooting 25/25 and 21/25 on the skeet range today, it stays! Fastest handling gun I own. Less than 7 pounds, 20 gauge with 30" non-ported barrels. Invector Plus flush cut choke tubes SK/SK. It's also the prettiest Browning I own. The design was inspired by a 1963 Lightning Superposed with the same engraving and grade III/IV walnut... :)

JohnBT, I spend allot of time in VA. Just got back from a month in Sandbridge. We rent a condo at the southern end twice a year, and my daughter, SIL and two granddaughters live in VA Beach. I shoot allot of trap, skeet and 5 stand at the Oceana Naval Station. My SIL is a Navy EOD stationed at Little Creek with the Seal teams.

I love Virginia and may relocate to the Williamsburg area. That way I can shoot at Old Forge most of the time!

FYI - the Browning is a special edition 2010 Shot Show gun which was held in Las Vegas. 200 were made in both 12 and 20 gauge configurations each. You could get 30 or 32 inch non-ported barrels with either gun. I was not there, purchased the gun from a private seller...

Dave, I feel the same way now between 12 and 20 gauge guns. I'm 100% more comfortable and accurate with a 20. Lighter and quicker than the 12. I use my 12's for mostly 16 Yard ATA and Wobble...

When the new Wobble thing went in at PGC, my first straight round was with the 12 gauge Beretta O/U.

My first 50 straight was with the little SKB 20 O/U, choked way too much(M/F) by conventional wisdom.

Both are with 7/8 oz loads at about 1200 FPS.

And my little 20 gauge 870 thinks it's a quail gun. Snake fast and slick. Not an easy gun to shoot well after all those 12s, but when it's all I shoot, I do well.

"a month in Sandbridge"

I hear the striper fishing was good just offshore from a friend who rented a cottage in Sandbridge for about a month.

I'll be 62 this fall and could/should retire. Sounds like a plan, but why waste the whole summer working, right?

John
