I recently bought a large lot of 9MM at a government surplus auction (to resell) that looks like a mixture of WCC and WMA. I assumed it would have crimped primers but so far every single one that I've deprimed does not seem to have a crimp.
I tested well over 100 rounds so far and my swage gage seats just fine in the primer pockets, kind of loose like it's supposed to.
I have not tested by seating a new primer, I lost the small primer cup on my rockchucker. Once I find it or buy a new one I will prime a few rounds.
Am I wrong for assuming that all WMA and WCC 9mm brass had crimped primers? I did notice that the Nato cross was not on the brass that I've sorted though so far.
Can anyone here chime in and help me out? Do they not crimp the primers anymore?
Thanks,
Mark
