WCC99 brass - anybody use it

I decided to process some once fired brass that I bought in 2004 and it turned out to be WCC99. I resized, trimmed and swaged the pockets and then loaded some to test. I want to bring all the same brass when I shoot in Phoenix next month.

I am wondering if any of you can compare this with Winchester brass. I have lots of IMI and LC but I don't want to lose my IMI down there. I know that some years are supposed to be better than others.

9mm, 45acp, 223 rem, 308 win, 50bmg?

To me WCC is just like winchester. If its 9 or 45acp it runs like all other brass. Haven't had it in 223 yet, but I'm sure it will run the same.

I believe the only difference between WIN and WCC brass is that many of the WCC's have a crimped primer pocket.

Winchester also seems to use the WIN and WCC brass interchangeably with their white box ammo.

This is .223. I guess I never thought of WCC in any other caliber. I never paid attention to the date on WCC head stamp before, but I have read that some years are more coveted than others. I have read that LC88 is quite good and I have a bunch of that year. I bought 1000 pieces from Wideners many years ago.

To me WCC is just like winchester. If its 9 or 45acp it runs like all other brass.

WCC is Winchester Brass... WCC = Western Cartridge Company owned by Olin as in Winchester Western which is Winchester all owned by Olin. WWC is their military brass.

WCC, Western, Win, Winchester brass is all the same company made by Olin in East Alton, IL.

Unless it is stampped WCC Match it is just like Winchester commercial brass. Good stuff.

Just to be sure take a few of each trimmed to the same length and do the water volume check of the internal case capacity. Fill the commercial cases with water and pour them into the military cases and see if they hold the same.
