What a target round. Would hold just the right amount of Bullseye or Unique. Low recoil. Small bottleneck would protect the bullet which could even be wadcutter without smashing against the ramp. Probably could even be recoil operated for solid frame reliability and still be centerfire.

Even be good for small game or plinking.

I want one.

:)

Funny you should say that, wardog

I was just thinking the same thing. I'd opened the safe to clean a couple of pistols I'd shot yesterday, and my eye fell on my Polish Tok. I need to shoot it more often, and I sure would like a modern pistol in the caliber.

But then I'm a big fan of bottlenecked cartridges. I suppose I should just buy another .357 Sig.

I would also like to see more bottlenecked cartridges for handguns. I was thinking about a .45/30cal for most deffensive use. I had already e-mailed Taurus the suggestion for the 9mm/32cal including suggestions for a shooting platform when I came on to this post.

Hello? The .30 Luger has been available in factory loaded fodder since 1900. This includes American firms such as Remington and Winchester.

Many European gunmakers already offer barrels for the cartridge in models typically chambered for the 9x19mm. (SIG, Beretta, and FN leap to mind.) A few years back, even Ruger produced a limited run of P89 with 9x19mm and .30 Luger barrels.

I think a new and improved version of a Tokarev chambered gun would be a very very very good thing. And then we NEED JHP's for defensive purposes.......Id be first in line......

Shoot well...................

It's ALZHEIMER's I tellya!

I forgot the .30 Luger and just SOLD one. Duhhhh.

Say.....wouldn't a .30 Luger.........IMPROVED.......be just swell?

:banghead:

As said above, this what .30 Luger is. The 9mm P was created by "necking up" the .30 Luger. While there are not many firearms chambered for it, imagine that pretty much any 9mmP pistol could have a custom barrel made for this round.
