Weak side carry

I'm trying something a little different tonight.
Since I carry my trusty .380 iwb on my strong side, I have often wondered if it was smart to also carry my blade on the strong side?
I discovered one of my favorite OTF carry knives has a reversible pocket clip. I reversed it to carry on my weak side and am venturing out for the first time in 50+ years of knife carry with my blade on the weak side!
Has anyone else switched to weak side carry because of an edc pistol?

I usually carry minimum of 3 blades when I'm leaving the house along with my firearm and spare ammo and other various edc kit. My folder still rides in strong right side pocket. Then there's a 6 inch fixed blade on belt behind holster around 4 o'clock. And a 3 1/2 inch fixed blade in a horizontal sheath that rides on left side around 10 o'clock so it can be grabbed crossdraw for strong side or I can use it with weak left side. Around the house and property I carry folder in left pocket cause my naa 22 mag mini revolver rides in strong right side pocket.

Hummm...nope, carried a knife strong side since I was 12 yrs old. Can't bring myself to change that. Have to be able to open it with one hand too.

Nope, knife is in the same pocket as the side the gun is on.
I did hurt (bad) my strong side years ago and needed to carry and shoot weak side for almost 3 months. Spent most of a week learning to shoot that way.
I still train that way sometimes

I’m thinking about moving knife to weak side. Wife bought me several Wrangler jeans a while back. They have the leather tab in the right pocket for a knife clip so it doesn’t wear out the cotton material.

Since I started wearing a holster for the Keltec that doesn’t cover the last 2 inches or so of barrel I’ve noticed rub marks on it from the knife. Funny that Wrangler doesn’t put the leather tab on the left pocket also. It’s as if their market data shows left handed people don’t buy their jeans and if they do they don’t carry pocket folders.

Knives are thin and light and relatively inexpensive. Don't move your knife, just carry another one on the other side. If you're like me, you already have another one or two on hand just lying around wishing someone would carry them daily.
I do have another auto knife, but I could carry my SAK and have my tools.
So....(just between us) my wife makes fun of mu loadout:
Knife
Magazine
Flashlight
Moneyclip
Billfold
Handkerchief
Meds
coins
(Sometimes) Bic lighter
Am I the only one who totes all this stuff?

They do security checks at work occasionally. The security folks always seem entertained when I empty my pockets and take all the stuff off my belt. And, of course, I can't carry there so they don't realize I usually carry more stuff than what they are seeing.

Amongst the items, I usually have a one-handed opening knife, a multitool (with knife blades) and an SAK mini. Flashlight is a must. The SAK mini and the flashlight get more use than everything else combined.

Do you mean carrying "cross draw" or just carrying a firearm like a lefty if right-handed or right-handed if a lefty?

Yep, you are.....just kidding. Though my meds, coins, and lighter are in my lunch bag (maxpedition falcon). And yes my wife pokes fun of me too.

Weak side for me, routinely. Too much going on in right pocket. Don't want to foul car keys, coin retrieval and IWB carry. When I have accessory pockets, knife goes left, keysmart right.

What I carry is almost identical, except I carry a tactical pen instead of a flashlight. The flashlights I use are in every vehicle by Olight the Baton 3 model and the tactical pen is always on me made by atomic bear called the stealth because it is made of polymer used in guns but light weight not detectable by metal sensors.

Odd. On the left side is where I carry my .380. knife goes either in the small pocket of the jeans and jean style Duluth khakis, or the top of the RH cargo pocket of the cargo style pants.
I have reversed the clip on some knives in the past and carried them in the left, before I got the Vedder LH pocket holster.

I'm ambidextrous. The only thing I can't do with either hand is write. So, no "weak side".

At work I wore a duty belt that completely occluded my front pocket so I got used to carrying my knife on my Left side.

Knife and flashlight in my left pocket.
Wallet in my right.

OC is usually in the pocket of my hoodie

Phone and IFAK in my cargo pockets

I didn't like it. In the usual location in the pocket (all the way to the outside/lateral side of the pocket) it is "too far away" - I have to reach far around the left side of my body with my right hand - and moved further inboard, it sticks into my gut when I sit down.

I suppose I could have left it on the far outside of the pocket, but then I would have had to get at it with my left hand. I am so strongly "handed" that trying to produce a blade with my left hand would result in just about as much risk to myself as to the bad guy!

With more experimentation I might find success, but whatever goal I had at the time is long forgotten and I can't see any reason to bother at this point. Knife and gun both on the strong side causes me no trouble that I can think of.

I'm pretty much ambidextrous besides writing and shooting right handed (eye dominance makes shooting right handed more comfortable). 99% of the time I have a pistol on my right side in a pancake type holster. I have settled on carrying my leatherman surge on my left side on my belt and my cell phone case(flip phone) is clipped to the seam of my left front pocket . This balances the weight out and also lets me get to the leatherman without flashing the gun. I can open and use the leatherman with my left hand so that is a bonus and it has one hand capable blades.
I also carry a knife as a dedicated blade. If its a fixed blade it is often cross draw in front of my left hip. Folders usually get clipped in the right front pocket.

No. I carry a light knife like an Opinel or Case.
two clips.
flashlight
OC
card case (credit cards, dl, ccw, etc.)
handkerchief
zippo (w/butane insert)

You should carry the means to have fire. I like zippos but they dry out fast so I use a butane insert so it works like a bic. Rollagas are nice too, but too sophisticated for this American boy.

Besides that, I would like to carry my film camera, but it's not always very practical. If I have a big coat, I'll carry a 16oz flask of water, otherwise, I'll take a bottle in a backpack or the 4x4. I like to have a 2m radio, but that's also an item for a big coat or backpack. Same thing for a FAK and TQ.
