What do you guys carry as a weakside BUG?

Not sure if I need a Berertta .380 in the Skunkabilly Armory.

In Winter often CCW a Glock 26 in Lou Alessi's
pocket holster in the outside pkt. of my
parka. Don't see the need for a BUG myself &
believe Chuck Taylor's opinion on the legal
issue of CCWing two pistols.

My BUG is on the weak side in a pocket rig. It more or less balances everything else out, and is easier to access when I need it.

I've got 2 that I rotate...one is a 25 cal Beretta Jetfire. THe other is a older mod 60. I've been contemplating getting a 640 tho and putting that 60 in semi-retirement.

I know they're not as popular, but I prefer to carry my M640-1 BUG in an ankle rig. It allows access by either hand, even when I'm strapped in by a seat belt or if I'm floundering on my back on the ground. If I'm standing and my right (primary) arm is occupied, but my left arm is free, I can draw my belt-holstered .45 by reaching around behind my back. (Takes some practice, but it's worth the time, IMO.)

Skunk......I've got a Beretta 84 and a Browning BDA (both basically same gun...13 round .380's) Both are too large by todays standards, and avail. of smaller 9mm's to be pocket guns. Unless you live in a war zone or are in Law enforcement I don't see the need for a second gun. I carry a Colt Det. Spec. or mod. 42 S&W when I feel the need to be armed. Kel-Tec's gonna release a .380 approx the size of their .32. I'd wait to see that if you want a pocket .380.

Model 38 nickel Bodyguard Airweight.

Strongside BUG is a Beretta Jetfire.

(I love winter coat/jacket season. :D )

My BUG is a P32 in the strongside pocket.

I carry a folding knife on the weak side.

I bought a left hand draw Galco holster for Colt det spec(and agent or cobra) to attach to off side of my Miami classic or Original jackass harness instead of ammo pocket or clip pouch. This gives me a 'New york reload' for primary gun.

Would you believe 5" 1911A1? That's what it was today. 3 guns, another vote for winter coat season and Coronado leather. Normally something sensible like a Kahr MK40 on ankle or somewhere at the waist where both hands can reach it. When you produce both a 1911 and a Glock 17 in the holster store you get all kinds of wierd looks. :D

Primary: Full size 1911
BUG: Keltec P-11

Primary being a P-11, another P-11, sometimes a J frame.

Now I did use my gunsmith's Pro Carry as a BUG with a full size 1911 the other day...getting downright attached to it, haven't returned it...YET :D Giving serious thought to using nothing but 45 ACP for everything...making the P-11 as deep concealment...

re1973: You've been reading my mail!

I also carry a P-11 off-side (under my shirt) in addition to my main-battery 1911. If it's not the P-11, it's the Chief's Special (J-Frame). Great minds, no? :)

RJ Hedley made me one of his wonderful
"Back Pocket" models for my Seecamp. A perfect, right hand back pocket draw. The "Hedley" stays in my pocket every time I draw. "Want my wallet too? BANG!"
Little Seecamp loaded up with .32ACP RBCD ammunition. (1815 FPS/271 FtLbs at the muzzle.)
However there is always a S&W 331 in a Galco Ankle Glove on my left leg in case I get knocked down. Man! I'm a limping arsenal!

In instances where I carry a BUG:

Kahr MK40 in an Alessi Ankle rig.

It is there when I need it, reasonably accessable for the intended use subsequent to primary gun failure.

For close in, I'll transition to one of my knives in cases where my strong arm might be tied up with a aggressor.

believe Chuck Taylor's opinion on the legal

...I'm just wondering, what is Chuck Taylor's opinion on this?

I don't currently have a BUG but am going shopping soon for one, probably on the order of a .38 Special snubby by either Taurus or Rossi or a solid used S&W if possible.

Hey, how about a Beretta 92 compact type M? You're gonna have to buy mags anyway, why not get something that fits in an existing theme????  :D

When weather permits the proper attire, I do carry a BUG, and have two that I switch between.

Taurus M85 UL Ti in .38 Special.
Bersa Series 95 in .380.

Either are usually carried in a jacket pocket.
