Weaver tactical scope mounts not fitting rail

I bought some Weaver Tactical scope mounts to mount on an Olympic Arms AR. However, the rail is just a touch wide for the mounts. I tried the mounts on my Smith & Wesson M&P 15 and my Rock River Arm, and they fit perfectly. Anyone had this issue? Is this common with the Olympic Arms? Does anyone have a product suggestion that is known to work? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

It certainly sounds like the Oly may be the problem if the Weaver Tactical works on your Rock River and the M&P-15.

You may want to consider a quick-release mount, as they are generally adjustable for width. Something like the P.E.P.R:
