Got the P3AT .380 home today... now, how do I take it apart to get the chrome upgrade? It really needs it... looks like it has a small chunk taken out on the end of the barrel.

Well, I bought a WW box of 100 at Wal-Mart... I may not do anything to this little gun, it's feeding and ejecting just fine, and that's with the flat nose target ammo. Recoil is not bad at all; I really expected it to be more unpleasant. Any reason to think it would hang up on anything else, ammowise?

The barrel does bug me... what do you think of this?

I "lightened up" the pic a bit. I had a .32 KEL TEC like this. I never sent it back 'cause it shot fine at 7 yards. But, I think I'd send a pic of your .380 to KEL TEC.

Looks like somebody tried to use it for a screwdriver. I'd definitely talk to Kel-Tec. I think trading it +$20 for the chrome would work. I think K-T would do that for you.
 
Just do it.

Send $20 and your barrel/slide assemble to Keltec and you get a new chrome barrel/slide assembly in return. That my friend, is a good deal.
 
I called KT and they said they didn't have any chrome parts in stock right now. Told me to check back in a couple weeks. When they have them, I guess I'll send it off...
