I was just cruising through a local internet auction site and spotted this item
http://www.trademe.co.nz/Antiques-collectables/Militaria/WWII-earlier/auction-28772217.htm
The current bid is NZ$2,800 .... only about US$2,000.
Interestingly, this item can be bought in New Zealand with a category A firearms licence (i.e. the general, ordinary vanilla firearms licence) ..... whereas a nasty, evil, military styled semi-automatic like an AR15 requires a category E licence ..... very strange!!!
That would certainly stop the mutant ninja zombie bear hoards but I'm guessing its a bit big to CCW. You'd pretty much have to have your own private range to mount your Oerlikon on and I'm guessing the whole neighbourhood would know when you decided to have a shoot. Would be a blast though (literally!).
I think there should be more Oerllikon 20 mm cannons owned by firearms enthusiasts .... if an armed society is a polite society, just think how much more polite people would be if there were more of these puppies about.
I want one!!
