4E9D4203-FC64-49E6-A4D4-ABCAEE4A9313.jpeg Update. I recently got back to this gun and after a false start I made contact with Ethan at Track of the Wolf who is knowledgeable and patient. I learned that older Uberti models use the same thread nipple as Pieta and cone length is very much an issue. Yep.
So, I shot it today. 30 grains Goex 3f, round ball over homemade hard lubed wad. I made a circle on a box with a snuff can and backed off 25 steps. It’s a shooter.

For the early Ubertis you need these M6 x .75 x .500 Long
Fits Euroarms Revolver
I had that issue with my 1969 built Ubertis. Tried the Pietta ones, toooooooooo long and caused a multiple discharge when the cap on the next chamber hit the recoil shield.

Today was cold and windy but I had to get out and shoot. I am so impressed with this revolver. I put 24 30gr(Goex 3f)with round ball loads through it and the wedge remained where I put it.
It feels like my old Ruger Vaquero when I roll the hammer back, like a bank vault.
I fired the last six for group, good and dirty. I shot this at 25 yards. That flier.........I was distracted because I thought a grizzly bear was stalking me......I’m sure everyone will understand.
Gracias Jackrabbit1957.

If I correctly read the markings I think it is a Uberti made in 1970. I don’t find anything on Westerner’s Arms, stamped on top of the barrel, except a few auction listings.
If anyone can tell me more I would appreciate it.

I think you were looking for some information on Western Arms Co. Sorry for the delay in responding! I don't get to the forums very much since I have a group on Facebook that takes much of my time.

Here's what I have been able to compile over the years. The Western Arms Corp mark was from the company owned by Leonard Frank Allen. Leonard Frank Allen had started Replica Arms, in El Paso, Texas in 1962, with the first Colt 1847 Walker replica, made by Armi San Marco. In 1965 that company was sold and moved to Marietta, Ohio, with Ken Phelps as President. In 1973-74 Replica Arms was bought out by Val Forgett and Navy Arms. Meanwhile, in Santa Fe,NM, Allen started Western Arms Corp. in the early 1970's. In 1980 he found himself the subject of a lawsuit brought on by the Olin Corporation (Winchester) for trade name infringement with the company name, Western Arms Corp.. Olin Corporation owned Winchester Western ammunition, so Leonard Allen was forced to dissolve Western Arms Corp. and two separate companies were then formed, Allen Firearms Company and Western Gun Stores, Inc. Some folks often confused the Western Arms. Corp with the Western Gun Stores and American Western Arms Corp. The Western Arms Corp replicas were predominately made by Uberti until the company folded in 1980,

Hope this helps!
