We've got a guerrilla war in Iraq!

You have to assume even those who were against Iraq would be against us.
Nobody like military occupation, not even by their own military.

Guess what?

The guerillas have a ready made base of support right here on the American Left.:scrutiny:

That's a bit over the top, boats! I haven't seen the "left" here applauding attacks against coalition forces. YOU?

As some have said before the war (disclaimer, it was me), attacks will continue for a while. Some people just dig totalitarianism or don't like the fact that their clan will be on the bottom of the pole next shuffle.

The Nazi Werewolves were active until '47. The hotheads, from Iraq and all over God's Monkey House, will be around for a while until we do the right thing and kill them.

Well, I suppose that booing the visiting team technically is not the same thing as applauding the home team.

Maybe you have good reasons to boo the visiting team ... boo the visiting team all you want ... but don't pretend that it doesn't lend support to the home team.

Beat me to it, but well said...

But....... what did we win, cuchulainn??!!!

Hey! How would you stop it?!!!

OK, you guys! How would you STOP A GUERRILLA war in Iraq?!!

It's already started! How do you stop it?!!

Don

Hahahahah...c'mon, Don...Disappointed because we won a lot sooner than you predicted at TFL?

VERY strange...all your posts are gone from TFL.

For some reason, your user name shows ZERO posts.

Does anyone else find that telling?

Hahahahah...c'mon, Don...Disappointed because we won a lot sooner than you predicted at TFL?

Hey, actually ...... I predicted the declared "military victory" a couple of months before it actually happened. I also predicted the date of the initiation of the war to within TWO WEEKS before it actually started!

Contact Mr. Lucibelle, maybe he can reconstruct my posts! :D

Don

Ronnie, this isn't really about "knowing more than you"! It's about the hole we've (the US) have dug ourselves into! Let's STOP DIGGING!

If you can restore my posts from the old TFL, I would appreciate it!

Don

I also predicted the date of the initiation of the war to within TWO WEEKS before it actually started!

But I still won $5 off of you because you were TWO WEEKS OFF!!:neener:

I still can't believe we invaded a country with and expected to occupy it with less than 100,000 troops.

But the vocal opposition of so many in the EU and UN hasn't caused mass surrendering like there was during Desert Storm.

The Iraqi's don't know they've been beaten.

I think we've walked into the hornets nest unless we are willing to take on Iran.

We did the right thing. Iran and Syria should be next. As far as the "guerilla war" goes, we win it by killing all the guerillas. It never ceases to amaze me how liberals always line up on the wrong side of history. Give them a choice between the US and our enemies and they will side with our enemies every time.

Yes!! I love these "trolling for an argument" threads. Nothing gets accomplished, but it's fun to watch!

That's standard for "progressives." Support any enemy of capitalism. Read Nechaev's The Catechism of the Revolutionary c 1868. Here's the first sentance of Paragraph 13:
The revolutionary joins the state, society, and so-called civilized world and lives in it only for the purpose of its more total and speedier destruction.
There's 26 paragraphs with similarly alarming passages.

It seems that much of the Iraqi resistance is not limited to ex-Baathists, but has spread into the general population. There were 25 attacks today, and according to the US/UK commanders, they seem to have been uncoordinated. This is worse news than if it were former Baathists because it means that there are many more willing to engage in guerilla actions against us. With the caches of small arms and such throughout the country, they will be able to maintain this initiative for a while. Look at the damage and disruption a few well placed sniper attacks can cause to morale and to general operations.
