I have to say that I had no idea how fun or addicting BP guns could be. I was bitten by the bug about this time last year and so far I have bought a total of 5 revolvers and 1 rifle. I bought 1860 Armys for my son, nephew and brother in law for Christmas and we went thru 400 round balls in one day!

I have all kinds of rifles and pistols from WW1 to present, but these babies are the best! My future purchases include 1853 Enfield, some form of Springfield(haven't decided on the year), a cased Walker set(already have the Whitneyville Dragoon) and a couple of the Remmington Sheriff's model.

I have a feeling that before the summer is over I'll have done my part for the economy:D

Totally agree - when 'non-shooting' folks ask me about shooting cap and ball revolvers, I tell them imagine what Wile E Coyote would shoot - smoke, flame and above all a huge ka-boom! :D

Honestly, these have brought me back into firearms. After the prices started to sky rocket on ammo a couple of years ago, I just about stopped shooting. Now I can take my kid a half mile down the road where we board the horses and shoot all day. Nothing wrong with that.

Oh yeah, there is a lot of good info on this site. Excellent site!

Wait 'til you start thinkin' about loading cartridges with the stuff!! Then you're in trouble believe me!!
