Just as the title says on average, what kind of accuracy do you get from your Browning BAR at 100 yards. I don't mean that once or twice amazing group, but the average normal everyday group. Feel free to post targets if you wish.

With my 270 BAR I seem to get 1.5 with 150's. I've never really locked it down to see what it's capable of.

The only one I have any experience with is an older 7mm Mag I repaired for my dentist.

I shot up several partial boxes of various left-over hunting ammo he gave me while sighting it in.
It was shooting 100 yard three-hole cloverleafs, with the holes often touching with everything I shot in it that day.

Maybe a fluke, but I was really impressed with it.
And even more impressed at how comfortable a 7mm Mag can be in an auto-loader.

My dad will only use the old-style Winchester Silvertips, he won't try any other bullet. But those regularly shoot 1.5" groups; sometimes better. We tried to count how many deer he's killed with his BAR and we got to 45 or so and gave up.

Surprised Me!

I can honestly say that I was amazed. I sighted in a friends BAR 06 last week. It would shoot 1 1/4" with cheap Federal ammo. I always knew that Federal made some good stuff, but I didn't expect anything like this for $18 a box.

Two BARs under an inch.

An early 80s model and an early 2000s model both shoot under an inch with Core-lokts and cheap Federal stuff.
