What AK47 should I get?

Looking to get a couple AK47-AKM'S .

Is lancaster arms any good they offer a wide range of rifles,

1. Are they a good company?
2. Have some of you had canted sights from them
3. What parts kits do they use, Romanian, Bulgarian.
4. Customer service?
5. If I get a rifle from them and it has canted sights will they work with me, or throw me to the side when I want it fixed.


Saiga Rifles-----

What is the deal with Saiga rifles (SGL-20) (SGL-21)

1. Why is there a SGL 20 & 21 WHAT THE HELL IS THE DIFFRENCE they say the exact same thing in there description but the 21 is more money.

2. Are SGL's converted Saiga sporters or real Izmash AK MIL Spec rifles. When one looks at the SGL they will see that the SGL series does not have the holes in place where the original SPORTER trigger pins would have been placed. Which tells me they have original receivers that were never converted, unless they hid them very good. Does any one know what these rifles went through to get to the US

3. Do Saiga SGL's allow you to put on other stocks on them or are they diffrent

Probably the best value these days would be one of the SGL series.

On sale, the SGL is by far the best deal. The 20 vs 21 is only whether it comes with a 5 or 30 rd magazine. They take all standard AK magazines regardless, so it really doesn't matter which one you start with. I can't tell that they ever had the holes for the sporter trigger pins. They are real Izhmash AKs, though your question is a bit silly since Saigas are also real Izhmash AKs, just with a different look and ergonomic setup. They will take any standard buttstock for a stamped rifle.

Lancaster has a very good reputation, but when the SGL is below $600, you simply will not beat it. I don't know what parts Lancaster uses and I wouldn't be surprised if its changes year to year or even month to month based on availability.

The SGL-21 has a bayonet and accessory lug. The SGL-20 has neither. I love my SGL-21s...................

OH..........An accessory lug is where the grenade launcher attaches to the gun.
