what are some MUST HAVE semi-automatic pistols??

Okay, this is coming from a young un... so please forgive me for my ignorance. Could someone please explain to me why so many of you have mentioned the Browning HP? I just don't see why. I understand why everyone says 1911, but in my opinion a BHP is equivalent to just about any other high capacity 9mm such as the CZ 75, Berreta 92, etc. Is the BHP just THAT accurate/reliable? At the moment I have considered purchasing a CZ 75 but it just seems like too big a pistol to carry around. Most of my guns fill a purpose and at the moment I just cant seem to find anything that I want... at the moment I own the following:

Ruger Mark III .22 (great training pistol)
XD45 (my SHTF pistol and winter CCW w/ 13+1 rounds of .45)
CZ P01 (everyday CCW)
S&W 642 (backup/smaller CCW preferred over a semi)
S&W 686p (mostly range revolver but also CCW b/c of its 3" barrel)
Springfield Armory 1911 "loaded" with many extras as a competition gun
Dan Wesson CBOB (accurate/dependable conceal carry 1911 for when I want that slim profile on my hip)

With those 7 handguns, I dont see anything else that I would want or need...other than maybe a CZ 75 or a BHP if yall can give me a good reason to get one.

My two cents...

I'm not big into buying a lot of guns that I don't need. I guess that I'm cheap.

I think that it would be nice to have the following:

One .22 autoloader: To me, this probably means a Ruger Mark III Hunter.

One compact, polymer-framed autoloader: Probably would be between an XD, a Glock, a Sig p250, or an HK p2000. I'd probably go with an XD service (even though it probably is not really considered a compact)

One full-sized autoloader: I would lean towards an XD(M), a CZ 75 B, a Beretta 90two, or a Sig p226.


I currently own three revolvers, but plan on starting with autoloaders soon.

I own a .22 SA revolver, a .357 magnum, and a .44 magnum.

I guess one might argue that I don't really need a .44 magnum, but I like it.

Let me see. There are too many of them but if I have the dough, I'll get the following:

- HK45, P2000 and P7
- Sig P210, P226 and P228
- Cz 75B and P01
- Colt gov't model and gold cup
- Taurus PT1911

I want guns that were tested by the military and myself.
