I have a handful of suppressors held in a gun trust, my wife has no interest (yet) in such toys. They are worth their entertainment value to me as long as I'm consuming oxygen, but, I'm going to expire some day. Selling even last year's suppressors is a waste of time with all the transfer fees, not to mention zero market demand for yesterday's products.

We have no kids and no family that would even know what to do with a suppressor.

I know how to lawfully get a suppressor; is there a way to make one lawfully go away?

Name somebody in your will to leave it to. They can file a Form 5 with the ATF and get it transferred to them, with no additional $200 stamp. Still will have to wait, but at least no fee.

Find a beneficiary, or turn them over to the batfe. Only good options i know of. You could make a list of approx values for whomever deals with your estate. The trust will continue as long as there is a beneficiary, so maybe even a resale agent could buy out the trust from your estate. Depends on what your heirs want to do...
