What are you hunting with this year?

Myself I will be using my trusty Savage Model 111 chamber in .30-06.

I will be using this, be the first time trying the sight on Whitetails.

Will be using my trusty SKS in 7.62x39. She isn't pretty but she is a shooter for an SKS. running about 2 MOA at 100 yards with irons.

30-06 is my go-to rifle for elk. I generally shoot a 243 at deer but wasn't drawn this year. I'll be bringing a 45-70 and 270WSM to elk camp this year, they may see action. For coyotes, I'm not picky. I've had the 22 Hornet, 12Ga, 45-70, 223, and 45colt out so far this year.

My sporterized peep-sighted 91/30 is the only deer rifle I own. Although I sometimes borrow my wife's peeped 141 remington in .35 rem. I don't care for her 99 Savage in .300.

I forgot to check if it was a multiple choice poll before I voted.

Because I'll use a 12ga. for birds, I've already used the .270 Winchester for elk and antelope, I'll use a .223 for coyotes, and .22lr for squirrels. Had I drawn a blackpowder tag, I would have already hunted with the .50cal, but I did not draw.

I only picked one of those as my choice though.

I checked .30-06 and muzzleloader, but I will also be utilizing a .280 Rem and a .45 Colt as well, depending on the situation and what I'm in the mood for.

For the first time in probably a dozen years, I used a rifle other than my model 70 7mm mag. I used a Doublestar CAR-15, loaded with Federal Fusion bonded soft points, in .223 It performed well, and i harvested a 5x5 whitetail with it on opening day.

That LeveRevolution is some impressive ammo, my brother had a 30-30 some years back and I loved to shoot it cause of the lever action but it just didn't shoot flat enough for me as a deer rifle in which I often shoot past 100 yards. However with the LeveRevolution I have thought of getting a 30-30 or .35 (no past experience with .35) for deer hunting.

Sidearm as always is a Redhawk in .44 mag

Already took a doe in PA's early muzzleloader season with a T/C Encore 209x50.
Plan to use the same in NY where centerfire rifles are not permitted.
Will use a Remington Model Seven in .308 in NY where rifles are permitted.
If I'm at all successful in NY, I'll hunt PA's regular season opener with a .44 mag Redhawk; otherwise, the .308.
And if I still have a tag left by PA's late muzzleloader season, I'll be out with a Lyman flintlock.

I'll continue to knock em down hard with the 35 Remington lever gun. I just got it this year but it may be my favorite caliber for the southeast thick hammocks and woods. Incredible knock down power, big 200gr bullet, low recoil, low decibel, classic hunting caliber. Love it.

Been using a Barnett Quad 400 for the archery season, two of 5 tags filled. Will be using my Remington Spartan 12ga O/U through next weekend for pheasant. Will be using an Allweather Ruger M77 Hawkeye in .308 for Bear and regular deer seasons. After that it's back to the Barnett for the extended antlerless season.
