3" is preferred.
3" K frames and similar mfg-ed guns are the combat revolver.
Longer extraction stroke, index and point more natural for most hands.
Conceal well, etc.
1 1/8" NAA Mini-Revolver. *snicker* Neatest little bugger ain't it? , I like this gun a lot!
2" (snubby actually 1 7/8") afford more concealable options such as pocket carry.
4" is proven, both as issued to Police, use by general public, for home, business, property duty and shooting sports.
Hunting regulations often stipulate a min bbl length, and 4" seems to be most popular cited min bbl length.
5" is the other bbl length to me,that is just "are".
There is something, unique about 3" and 5" guns, I cannot explain, just these just "are"
6" - proven.
7.5" is another unique length, and one I like.
I shoot iron sights, and there is a place for all bbl lengths, depending on task, setting, caliber and load.
I do not do polls , as I do not like restrictions, especially when it pertains to firearms.
Collect the whole set *grin*
Buy often - buy many.
