Got old and lazy and stopped shooting lead many years ago! sent a lot of Montana Gold down range till they priced themselves beyond what I was willing to pay! ( they still have an outstanding product!) Tried most of the plated bullet offerings and have settled on X-treme for just about all calibers (heavy plate) with the exception of 45 APC bullets. Got a couple K's from Precision Delta, should be set for a little while anyway.
Gold dot's for ALL SD loads-9,357,38,357Sig,40,44,45.
Got primers up the Kazoo, running low on powder. The Man said "you can keep your guns". But with out bullets they are only hard to hold hammers!

Berrys plated & Precision Delta for 9. I have switched in the last year to MBC & will used them when my stash of Berrys plated & PD runs out. I use MBC 200 gr IDP #4 for 45 ACP. I have some generic cast 158 LRN for 38 special. My bullet of choice for my 9x18 Makarov is Berrys 95 plated RN or more recently 93 Gr MBC. Any new purchases will be from MBC because of availability, price and high quality.:cuss:

X-Treme 9mm 124gr CP RN and 124gr CP HP
X-Treme 40S&W 165gr CP RNFP and 165gr CP HP

Lately have switched from mbc lead to plated and so far i am happy with xtreme plated in all offerings i have tried.
9mm xtreme 124 rn and hp
45 xtreme 230 rn and hp. just received some 200 to try
223 xtreme 55

Xtreme plated. 115 and 147 grain just because that's what was available last time I ordered. Xtreme plated 230 rn for 45 auto. Haven't tried any other plated brands since Xtreme is available at the lgs.

Missouri Bullets for both 9mm and 45ACP. I have had good luck with Missouri Bullets so I have stuck with them.

So far I have been almost exclusively Xtreme plated.

380 Xtreme 100gn
9mm Xtreme 115gn and a few 124gn RN
40 Xtreme 155gn and a few 165gn HP
45 Xtreme 185gn FP, 200gn RN, SWC, HP, 230gn RN
38 Xtreme 125gn FP, 158gn SWC & HP

I have been trying out a few other brands including RMR and Bayou Bullets. I'm really liking the RMR 45 230TP, I need to load some more to test out but I like what I have seen so far. I've had great luck with the Bayou in 9mm 124 TC and 40 165 TCG. Mixed results with 45 RNFP feeding in my gun, I want to try the TC profile. I had bad results with the 380 95gn, very inaccurate in my Bersa.

I've tried some cast bullets, but think I will stick with plated or coated as I prefer how they handle during the reloading process, and also because of less lead exposure.

Thanks everyone! Im going to go ahead and give MBC Coated bullets and RMR plated bullets a try!

Both Berry and Extreme plated 9MM 124 grain and 45ACP 230 RN

Very happy with all the Rocky Mtn. Reloading thick played bullets!

Not much for my handgun needs, JHP's as inexpensive as possible. The only exception is for personal defense, in which case I either go with XTP's or Gold Dots, 9mm, .357/38, .40 cal.. For 44 mag. I use XTP's or Gold Dots for hunting.

For high powered rifle I use Speer Hot Cores for big game, .243 win, 6mm rem., .270 win., 7mm RM, 30-06, 300 WM and what ever other rifle might get used for hunting season.

For my varmint hunting needs I go with just about any HP at high velocity. But my favorite is Speer TNT's.

And for high powered rifle paper punching, I've really had great accuracy with Speer BTSP's. They're not expensive, and they produce good accuracy for me. I'm not a competitive shooter, but when I'm on my game, 1/2" groups are typical with the .243 win, .270 win, 7 mag, and 300 WM with them.

For the last several years, I've been using nothing but Rainier bullets in my .38sp, 9mm and .45acp ammo. Very happy, no complaints.

For the .223, I use mainly 55gr fmj mil-spec bullets from Wideners.
