What brand bullets on your bench

I load more than a dozen different calibers and I use mostly hornady bullets. With the exception of a couple rifles the 300 Chester likes Speer Hot Cors and my mil surps do best with Sierra

I currently load for several calibers.
380
9mm
45 ACP
22-250
270
65 grendel
65 creedmoor
65 PRC
450 bushmaster
350 legend
300 Blackout
556
8x57

My primary choice for bullets is Hornady, but I shoot a bunch of RMR, Berrys and some Speer for my 65GR.

I do it all on a single stage Rock Chucker!

I have reloaded a heap, especially pistol ammo when I was shooting lots of USPSA.

Probably the most of a single type was Montana Gold 40 cal 180gr CMJ, but I also used a lot Berry's, Precision Delta and IbejiHeads to feed me USPSA habit.

I use to use a lot of Hornady XTPs but I have been moving away from them across most of the calibers I reload, though I still like XTP in my 44 Mag.

I have been using a lot of Matt's bullets in my other handguns, especially my Webley's both 455 and 38/200 but also in my 38 Special.

I love Barns TSX bullets for my 450 Bushmaster.

For 300 BO its hard to beat Maker Rex for subs and Barnes TAC-TX for supers.

Hunting: Primarily Nosler ABs and BTs, I am using Hornady .358 200SPs in my .350RM cause they're the only bullets I can find.
Target: Berger and Sierra
Defense: Speer Gold Dots; 9mm, .357SIG, & 5.56
Plinking and 3 GUN .223 Hornady 55 grn .223 FMJ

BPCRs (.40-70, .45-90 & .45-100) I cast for as well as .357, .45ACP, and .45COLT

Im not going to list all the calibers i load. But for plated bullets. I use Accura outdoors. And what they don't sell berry's. Rifle i use Magtech,Hornady and PPU. Cast i use Summers enterprises and SNS. Now and then if i see a deal on another brand. I'll try them out. I did get some lightning brand .224 55 grain from Grafs. I still did not test them. And Hornady XTP for S.D loads.

This should be fun.
1. How many calibers you load for?

2. How many different brands of bullet you got?

3. What brand do you have the most of?

1) I currently load for 11 different cartridges... 5 handgun cartridges, 6 rifle cartridges.

1a) I have loaded for about 3 other cartridges I no longer load for... 12ga, .38/.357, .44SPC. There are some cartridges I have abandoned, but turned around years later and started loading for, again. .45-70, 9mm, 5.56mm

2) Too many to count. Spitballing, I would say 15 or so.

3) I have a bunch of RMR and Berrys jacketed or plated bullets. I have a fair amount of LaserCast and Oregon Trail cast bullets. I have a lesser amount of Montana Bullet Works cast rifle bullets, but that's a 'quality vs quantity' application. I have boxes of Speer, Hornady, Sierra, Nosler, Remington jacketed bullets.

Mostly Missouri and T & B bullets, all coated. .38 spl, .357, .45 acp and .45 Colt. Those are what I've been loading recently.
Once in a while, it will be Hornady jacketed Interlocks for 30-06 and 30-30. Mostly the coated bullets nowadays.

I don't have many name brand bullets as I mostly cast my own and prefer to shoot my own cast bullets. I tend to buy guns that perform well with cast bullets.

What I have in stock:
158gr 357 LNFP cast
255gr 452 LNFP cast
230gr 452 TC cast
170gr 309 FPgc cast
.454rb cast
.440rb cast
.530rb cast
.390rb cast
. 310rb cast

I have dies for:
.223
.30-30
.30-06
7.62x39
.45-70
7mm-08
38/357
9mm

For me...

1. 15 (14 rifle + 9mm)

2. 6 (Hornady, Barnes, Berger, Sierra, Nosler, Speer)

3. Sierra.
1. 8 handgun. 4 rifle. Maybe 4 more that I have dies and components for but no longer reload.

2. Haven't counted but at least 10 not counting my cast w/14 molds.

3. For my 9mms I have a lot of RMR Nukes and old style RMR JHP. Many Hornady, Acme, and a few misc. manufacturers (Winchester, Berrys, Zero, Precision, Matt's, etc.)

I currently load for 14 calibers. Calibers that I no longer own, I sold the dies and components, also.

Bullets are Hornady, Nosler, Barnes, Winchester, Missouri, Eggleston, SnS, and Sierra, Remington, ACME, Xtreme, Bayou.

The MOST would be Hornady.

My rifle loading consists of 223 and 22-250 these days. I had always used Sierra bullets because of their accuracy but last summer gave some Hornady V-max a try as they were available locally. They are cheaper than the Sierra's and I found them to be very close in accuracy. So close in fact that it could have been a tiny twitch on the trigger or an errant puff of wind with each group I shot that caused the slight difference. They are so close that I will take which ever one is available the next time I go bullet shopping. Little critters will never know the difference.

Handguns? I cast and powder coat a lot of them plus have some from Missouri Bullets and several other brands sitting around. I have grown fond of my PC bullets and seldom load with greasy lubed bullets anymore. Jacketed is mostly Sierra and Hornady with some Remington and Winchester. I seldom shoot jacket bullets in handguns anymore.

1.) Ten handgun, 380 Auto, 9mm, 38 Special, 357 Mag, 40 S&W, 41 Mag, 44 Mag, 45 Auto, 44-40, and 45 Colt
Eight rifle 223/5.56, 22-250, 22 Savage HP, 6.5CM, 7mm-08, 308, 30-06, and 45-70 Govt.
2.) Two, Hornady for 22 caliber and 264 for 6.5CM. The remainder are "my brand", I cast and load for all the calibers I own.
3.) Obviously "my brand" of cast bullets.

I know I’ll leave at least 1 out of all 3 questions:

1) .380, 9mm, 38/357, .40, .223, 22-250, .243, 7mm-08, .280, 7mm RM, 30-06, .338 WM (12&20 gauge)

2) Extreme, Berrys, RMR, Sig, Hornady XTP & FTX, Barnes, Hornady, Nosler, Speer.

3) Berrys for handgun and a toss up between Barnes TTSXs and Nosler Accubonds for the hunting rifles. The guns that like the Barnes, get Barnes. The others get Accubonds. The 22-250 loves Vmaxs but I’m working on a Barnes load too.

1. Calibers counting guns and ability to load (regardless of frequency):
  • 0.224" (for 222, 223)
  • 7mm (for 7 TCU)
  • 0.308" (for 300 BO, 30 Herrett, 30-30, 30x233 & 30-06)

2. Bullet brands:
  • I have a stash of old Speer, Hornady, Sierra & Winchester jacketed bullets. No active use of these.
  • I have some 0.224" off brand low cost 45 gr frangible bullets bought in large quantities for 223. These get loaded a good bit.
  • Everything bigger than 0.224 that I actively load are my own cast bullets.
3. Cast as follows with more use generally towards the top:
  • 6 Cav Lee bullet mold 356-120-TC (with tumble lube for 38 Sp; with PC for 9mm, 357 Mag, 357 Max)
  • Old 2 Cav Lee bullet mold 356-102-1R (with tumble lube for 380, 38 Sp)

  • Additional molds with lesser use are Lee 2 Cav: C308-150-F, C308-170-F, 358-125-RF, C358-200-RF, TL452-230-2R

I load for 5 calibers.

Brands of bullets ..... thats a tough one, 6 -8 right now. Sierra, Hornady, Nosler, RMR, MBC, Speer, maybe more.

What do I have the most of ? In quantity it would be RMR. I shoot way more 9mm than anything else so I have thousands on hand. I have Sierra and Hornady for every caliber though so......

1. 3 rifle (30 Carbine, 223 Remington, 5.7mm Johnson) and 4 pistol (25 ACP, 9mm, 38 Special, and 45 ACP)

2. I have no idea. I have projectiles from Speer, Hornady, Nosler, Winchester and Sierra, as well as projectiles I have bought from bulk sellers like Everglades, Midway and American Reloading who do not always disclose the manufacturer.

3. My single largest brand is the .223 diameter 40 grain bullets from Sierra that I use in 5.7mm Johnson. I laid in a stock of them before I retired for fear Sierra might stop making them since they basically supply the 22 Hornet reloaders.
