I shot a lot of rounds with my Ruger Security Six today(love that gun), but my primary purpose was to give my older model Pro BP Ten II .45 Kimber a workout. I was pleasantly surprised after all the negative comments I've read about Kimbers. The recoil was not even close to what I'd expected. Really nice. And after a few rounds I was shooting pretty good for an old man full of coffee. I've got a feeling that's $500 I won't regret spending. It was extremely fun to shoot. I didn't get it for CCW....but with the right IWB and a few new shirts I may change my mind. Between the Ruger SS and the Kimber this has been a great day....so far.
I just got back from Missouri, my permit is good there. You can't carry in Illinois, unfortunately. I carry a Yugo M-57 converted to 9x23 Winchester, the ballistic duplicate of the .357 Magnum in an autoloader.
Today, none, since I am at a military school and the 2nd amendment doesn't mean **** on a military base, even if being a soldier can get you specifically targeted. usually I carry a 1911 though.
Wow. I just noticed I was the first to respond to this thread. Today I carried a LCP and a S&W 411 .40... The 442 from that earlier post is in my pocket tonight though.
Probably the same gun I was carrying when this thread was started. A 340pd loaded with .38 +p. All day except when I was in the "safety" of a "gun free" school zone while in class. I could rant about those zones forever but I find writing representatives to be the best bet for trying to make some change.
