My Christmas has been fairly gun-friendly this year. I had the pleasure of visiting with Tuner and family which is always a treat, especially so at Christmas. I was pleased to make a new friend this time too. The TurboCoffee and conversation were refreshing and stimulating, a great Christmas present.
While there I retrieved what has not-so-affectionately become known as the “Rehab Nork.” It was Bubba’d before I got it and took a bit of Tuner-style persuasion to become reliable. Fortunately it became accurate too, and all with a stock Nork (but not original) barrel. It was like getting a new pistol to have it back, a great Christmas present.
While there Tuner also adhered (with JB Weld) new grip bushings to a Kimber, which allowed me to remove the grips it had when I bought it and install the ones I prefer. It finally feels like shooting my pistol, and not someone else’s, a great Christmas present.
A friend gave a Wally-world gift card. It’ll go for .22LR, brake cleaner, and targets. Might even get a case of clays to pop with the .22, a great Christmas present.
Another friend gave a proven reliable 8 round 1911 magazine. A special friend indeed, and a great Christmas present.
Another friend gave a box of Remington 9mm 124g ammo, also a great Christmas present.
I’ve been very fortunate this year to have been blessed and enjoyed family and friends! Merry Christmas to All!
