What do have waiting for you in the reloading room?

Good day at the range today. Someone threw out 20 pieces of new primed 300 RUM brass. Since I don't know what the primers are, I'll deprime. Otherwise, a good score. Brought out 200 new pieces of new Starline 308 brass for prep.

9mm reloading today. About 150 rounds in. Might call it a day at 300. Staying single stage. One of my favorite radio shows is on the bench stereo now, "The Trail Ride" on WAMU Washington, DC www.BluegrassCountry.org , Cajun Zydeco and various Americana hosted by "The Cowboy". Makes me want some Gumbo and Jambalaya. Maybe a Beignet and Cafe Du Monde coffee. So when that concludes at 6 PM, I'm done for the day at the bench.

I am just waiting on FedEx to deliver small 1 oz wide mouth HDPE Nalgene (anti-stat) bottles for powder transport to the range in a Range Reloading Kit I am putting togehter, centered around the Lee Hand Press. I got some very thin 25 cartridge reloading blocks from eBay yesterday. They are small and will work just dandy in the reloading kit. They are the dark gray blocks in the foreground. Color coded for convenience. Small rubber feet. Very thin so I can stack all three in the reloading kit. Small Medium and Large covers most pistol calibers. I am working with the designer/seller to make a large block that holds 45 Colt. The largest block (Pistol - he also does Rifle) only accommodates up to 45 ACP.

These are thin, but the bench light source is casting a shadow that makes them look thicker than they are. I added standard reloading blocks to give you scale;

As soon as FedEx gets here with the bottles, I'll be laying out the items in the bags and cutting out the foam to put them in their place for transport;

Got the delivery of the Berlin Packaging HDPE bottles a few minutes ago. So I can now complete my range reloading kit. I got 1 oz, 2 oz and 4 oz bottles. I will be using the 1 oz bottles, 4 or them, in the kit with an assortment of powder to cover what I reload for now. They only had white in 2 oz, so I will probably use that for gun cleaning fluids. The 4 oz would be good for larger loading portability for reloading at places like Deer Camps or extended travel to ranges for weeks where you are going to reload. I just have to label them and that's it. Assembling the kit tomorrow.

1 lb powder bottle added for scale;

Here's what I am doing in the Reloading Room. I am so tired of the mess from all my dies on my workbench. I am finally making a shelf for the dies in bushings that I use on my Hornady LNL AP.

Whenever I can steal 15 minutes or so, I am working on this. I'll only have enough room for five pistol calibers for now, but considering I am using scrap wood for the project, I just use what I have. I can make another shelf or extend this one later on.

The Hornady die boxes are large enough to hold the dies with the bushing on. I have all mine in a drawer so I just grab the caliber I want and go. As for shell holders I have the most common ones I use stacked by the press with the remaining ones in the drawer with the dies.

I actually don't have any drawer space, I don't use the Hornady dies, and I don't use the Hornady powder measure. Even if I did, I still like looking at my die sets all organized on my shelf. I could stare at it all day! Haha!

Very cool way to keep them organized.

I modded/cut out the dividers in die boxes so the dies fit with the bushings on, and keep shell plates in old Midway blue plastic boxes.

I have been wanting to do this for years. A couple weeks ago I injured my shoulder and cannot shoot for a while and reloading must be done with just one hand and arm. To scratch my shooting and reloading itch, I decided to make the time for my new shelf. I love it and can't wait to finish it and mount it on the wall.

I’ve got 50 pieces of 6.5x284 Norma (Norma) brass waiting to be loaded it’s primed now to pick a load and get it ready for deer season

Dang, some of you guys are pretty creative at loading bench stuff. Nice! Picking up a bag[100 ct.] of Starline .45 Colt brass shortly. Probably a couple of those plastic ammo boxes for the loaded rounds. that will give me 500 .45 Colt rounds. Then, to unload some of 'em!
