Naw, keep the Razor on there. With the Burris mount, Leupold scope, and Vortex red dot, and magpul BUIS....I dont think ive ever seen that many sight/optics brands attached to one rifle....and certainly not at the same time, i love it lol.

Well it is my do everything rifle.

I've tried irons, scopes and red dots. Both my AR's wear Aimpoints with buis.

I'm a big fan of red dots and scopes, but if I had to choose one, I'd probably go with a red dot. I just find them a little easier to use, and I'm a big fan of Holosuns because they're a lot of red dot for the money!

Batteries: Homey don't play dat.

....and my eyes are terrible, so the answer is scope. Specifically, my two favorites which have been within my realistic budget are the Nikon Omega / Slughunter 1.65-5x36mm (the most versatile scope ever made), and the Burris MTAC 1.5-6x40mm (currently being worn by my only AR).

Honorable mention to the Burris MTAC 1-4x24mm and the discontinued Trijicon Accupoint 1.25-4x24 1" (not the newer 1-4x24 30mm, which has crappy eye relief). Sadly, I haven't been able to afford to try any of the great new crop of tac scopes in the last 5 years - whether IOR, Nightforce, or you name it. The Burris is a good value in that you don't need batteries to use the awesome central dot reticle (unlike a lot of makers), which is why these still work with my down-with-batteries paradigm.

But I like / want the RMR-DI for a crossbow, a 10mm handgun, a .30-30 lever gun, and a .22 magnum pump (rossi 59), although I haven't completed my acquisitions in this set yet - need 3 more.

One of My HD AR’s has a Trijcon RX-30. My wife’s has an M6 flashlight/laser (not on the poll by the way)

My hunting AR’s have a 6.5-20x40 Leupold VX-III (Varminter.223) and my .358 WSSM has a 4-14x40 VX-R Leupold

Fixed power scopes or prism sights in the 4-5x range. Prefer those that have an etched reticle that will work without a battery. I have a Hakko 4x Electro dot, a Burris 536 Prism sight, and a Primary Arms 2.5x fixed on my 'house gun'.

I only have one red dot and I haven't had a chance to use it much to form an opinion.

I had eye correction surgery years ago and while it allowed me to live my life eyeglass- and contacts-free with near 20/20 vision and I am eternally grateful for it, I never regained 100% clarity. At 50 yards I can see a 2” bullseye, although not it’s outline. At 100 yards, I can see the overall target and a splash of red in the middle, but have to squint. I love shooting with iron sights at 50 yds and sometimes at longer ranges just to see how close to the center I can get, and to enjoy using the gun at it’s basic lightest configuration, I also like to shoot with scope to clearly see the bullseye. This kind of leaves the red dot neither here nor there. Although at some point I am tempted to try one.
