The most underrated gun company out there, hands down. I have never seen an issue with any Bersa I have shot. The .380 at the price they sell it is truly something special.

I've had a Bersa Thunder .380 for about 8 years, and it's been a great gun. Accurate and reliable. I don't like the built in locks in the new ones though. :barf:

You can't really go wrong with Bersa IMO, they make a very nice gun for the money.

I have a discontinued Bersa 383-A that I really like, never had an issue with it and it's very accurate.

HI, in my country, Argetina, this gun is a ****, becouse the better pistos of this brand are make for exportation, and in the country you only can find a second class of this pistols. the material is of very poor cuality. sorry for my english:cuss:

I saw a Bersa Thunder 380 for $299 about 4 months ago. They seem to be pretty nice guns and a buddy who has one really likes it.

Por que crees que me fui de Argentina ?

Why do you think I left Argentina?

neener.

I have a Thunder 9, I bought it for its features after a long search. It is strong and forgiving and after a few K with no issues at all it looks and functions like new.

Wish I could say the same for my Baretta.

I also own a Bersa .380 Duo-tone model that has been exceptionally
accurate, reliable, and fun too shoot~! Its not a Walther, but its
priced right~!

I'm not knocking the Walther, just curious and although I don't own a Walther but have shot one and just wonder what it is that the Walther has that you think makes it better than a Bersa?

Don't own a Bersa, but have shot several of them. To me, there are well-made accurate firearms at very budget-aware price points.

Inexpensive, NOT cheap.

If I've shot a Bersa .380, would that give me a general idea of what a Bersa 9mm would feel like?*

*I'm fairly new to handguns, shopping for a 9mm.

No! The Bersa 380 is a blowback action and the 9mm is a locked breech/tilt barrel action.

They are completely different designs.

Almost everything I've read about the Bersa .380 is good, so this isn't a claim against Bersa. I refuse to buy any gun that has an aluminum alloy frame, but that's a personal preference.. I wish they would make one with a steel frame.

But since you asked,, :)

just picked up a new duo tone thunder 380 for $250+shipping. i couldnt believe the price! i expect to make the first range trip this friday. cant wait to try it out for myself. its my first 380!

If it had a steel frame, it wouldn't be nearly as nice to carry.

Just as a side note the American Rifleman this month has a review of a whole bunch of .380's by various manufacturers. I don't remember seeing Bersa on there, but it might be. At the very least you can compare your results to the 10 or more guns they reviewed.

you will come away from the range annoyed.

why? you'll be annoyed that .380 is expensive lately because you'll want to plink with the bersa ;)

Love mine, never had a jamb, my most carried gun. I just wish magazines for it were cheaper, and I wish after market grips were more readily available. I would like a slimmer grip for carry.

I have a Bersa 380 duo that has been nothing but reliable. Bought it for $220NIB Added the 9 round bersa mag which keeps your pinky more on the gun.
It's a keeper.
