Great, apply that logic to ARs and AKs. I don't hunt, so it is OK to ban hunting, right?

2A was "political" when it was first adopted.
Don't think for a minute "they" aren't working on banning hunting. I think they already banned trapping in Colorado. Someone check me on that. I haven't picked up a DOW info packet for quite a while.
But the last time I looked at one, I decided that you needed to have a lawyer with you if you went deer hunting. The rules were so complex, it was an actual discouragement.
I believe most of the personnel of the DOW had to have been educated in that area, and you know how colleges nowadays are <ahem> "liberal-heavy" and I would expect most DOW personnel are <ahem> "liberal-tainted" and really are not that interested in encouraging blood sports.
I may be wrong, hence the "ahems," but that's the way my brain was heading the last time I was interested in going afield for game.
Yeah, it makes me think "regulatory authority" and a recent Court Case...<ahem>.

Let me clarify, I was mocking that line of thinking. I have a lack of respect for those that make a statement like that and mean it.
